PUNTA GORDA, Fla – A mom-to-be nears world fame as a semi-finalist for the cover of Ink-Girl magazine.

The owner of a small business has a chance to win the grand prize of $ 25,000 and make a dream come true.

Jessica Hart got all of her tattoos at Body Gallery. She could never have imagined that the place that brings her so much happiness could one day earn her $ 25,000.

Now the self-proclaimed outcast is fully in the spotlight.

“When I got my first tattoo I was eighteen and my parents were so against it,” Hart said. “I hid it for a year in a row and I was like ‘They’ll never be able to find out! “”

Hart said she always felt like an outsider – never seeming to fit in. Her tattoos have been a source of self-expression.

In the end, being true to herself gave her the chance of a lifetime.

“I started to cry, I couldn’t believe it,” she said.

Entering the global competition for cover, she didn’t think she would make it through the first round.

“All of these girls might already be models or doing other stuff and I’m just a girl from Punta Gorda,” Hart said.

Her boyfriend William Gardner was convinced otherwise and went out of his way to help as much as possible.

“I helped her along the way, looking at pictures and I was on her Facebook watching all of her followers come and support her and I really stood on the sidelines,” he said.

A big magazine cover would be great, but Hart wants her story to inspire others, win or lose.

“I never really integrated when I grew up, I’ve always been different. My parents never really agreed with my tattoos, “she said.” Actually showing that anyone can do anything if they really believe in themselves. “
